The PS3 Controller: A Missed Opportunity

The Unveiling: Take 1
Over a year ago, Sony unveiled the controller for their upcoming PlayStation 3 and everyone cringed. The PS2 Dual-Shock controller was well refined and much loved, so why was shaping it like a boomerang making it something better?
Sony took note and quietly retreated to the labs to work on something new.
The Unveiling: Take 2
While Microsoft refined their already good S controller and Nintendo sought to reinvent the controller, Sony gave us the following.

A wireless version of what we already know, minus the rumble and with a lame motion sensor that can only do a fraction of what Nintendo’s controller can. Not only is it underwhelming, but the loss of rumble is simply disappointing.
With the rumble gone, the controller felt too light in my hands and cheap as a result. The joysticks also seemed far too sensitive, an issue that I assume will be worked out before final production kicks in.
There was an opportunity here to do something impressive and Sony missed it. It’s unfortunate.

I am deeply disapointed.
Reason being:
*I have a ps, ps2, psp, Xbox.
Then i got a 360 Due to the cheaper price compaired to the ps3. Only to notice i fell in love as soon as i touched the pad, as the saying goes “Fits like a glove”
I just got a ps3 And Wow!! Amazeing the pad Realy Realy sucks sorry to say. for one looks like the other ps pads. maybe yeh the old ones went well by player revue (Back In Its Time!)
If i had to rate the Xbox pad out of 10 it would be 9.99/10 for the ps3 pad 4/10 (4 for its tech)
All i can suggest is a new look nothing out of space but nice. Think of cutomer satisfaction
comfort.
Maybe even Use the shape Of the Xbox360 pad if your realy that bad at thinking. i dont like to be harsh but realy get involved in wat your teams are working on and try it test it, try it more Test it more!! and fineally you will loose this horrible burden above your heads.
I will leave it at that.
Wat more can people say?
Apart from HAVE you seen the new ps3 pad looks and feels so awsome!! (If you get it right)
P.s remmeber… cutomer satisfaction, comfort.
Look here some nice designs not saying use them but even the public design better. (The Ball One Realy Sucks Dont Even do that one lol It won for looks not Gameing or comfort)
The one by charlie is a good design or. (Xbox360 – converted – Ps3) lol

I perfere the boooooomerang coz its silver and styleish
they have now released the dual shock 3, so the wireless controller with the rumble, it feels better built and slightly heavier, but still about the same weight as the ps2 one
The PS3 pad is much better than the x-box 360 pad, for one, it has a spring mounted controller, two; the play in charge kit is built in unlike the 360 pad, plus 6 axis means you don’t have to buy a steering wheel for racing games. It isn’t quite as interactive as the wii, but you can also play proper games on it!
Well PS3 really screwed up bigtime. And guess what? Because they messed up so much… the PS4 is comming soon. Really soon! One of the biggest reason there controller! Its not because there copying the wii (people think that they are but… no) Its because back close to the late 90s early 2000s a controller realesed for the PlaySation 1 was the same thing but it had the rumble and the motion sensor!!! But the ps3 controller is nothing like the wii’s and Sony isin’t trying to copy them so thats a relife. Also have you seen how big the ps3 is? The game library (april 2nd 2008) is very small. Well thats all I have to say for the PS3. Bye.
