		<description>That's an easy one.
The two candidates respresent large corporations. The televised "open debates" were sponsered by big companies like Phillip Morris, Anheuser-Bush, and American Airlines. 
They didn't want anyone in the debate to criticize their choke-hold on the American public. So naturally the rising cost of travel and the cost of shipping consumer goods wasn't debated since it's not in the interest of those who the incumbent and his challenger represent.</description>
