Obvious Diversion

I finished Halo 2 and find myself shocked at how short the game is and how truly awful the ending is. I won’t say anything about the ending so as to avoid spoilers, but I can only come to the conclusion that they did not finish the game on time. A game with this much anticipation and a years delay clearly wasn’t planned to end so horribly or abruptly.

There have been some rumors that in February we’ll see either a second disc or downloads containing the other half of the game. Will they charge for this additional content? Even if one of these scenarios turn out to be true in some form, it’s dishonest. Fans spent $50 for a game that they wanted to play from beginning to end now, not later. They paid in full. They didn’t put the second half of the game on layaway.

If you just want to play the single player campaign, then make this a rental, not a purchase. If you’re into the xbox live stuff, then it is worth the purchase as I can attest to from my brother’s addiction.
