Obvious Diversion

I went and saw a screening last week of what will probably be George Romero’s final zombie movie Land of the Dead. It was filled with b-movie acting, an overly simplistic storyline and over-the-top gross out effects. In short, it was thoroughly entertaining.

Of course, it helps if you enjoy all the trappings of bad movies and even more so if you like bad zombie movies. Last but not least, top it all off by taking someone with you who has never seen a zombie movie and has no idea what’s ahead of them. You would think there would be no one left in this category, but I found an unsuspecting victim and it made for a hilarious evening.
