The Capitol Hill Farmer’s Market in Seattle

Very much by chance I found myself at the Capitol Hill Farmer’s Market in Seattle on 10th between Pike and Pine (just one block above Broadway.) I had seen signs for it on previous weekends but hadn’t actually seen the market itself. On one walk through I ended up with a few european pastries, some delicious cheese along with a story about the cow that it came from, and some incredibly well priced organic blueberries from Sidhu Farms. I also got to try free samples of different breads and eyed some veggies that I definitely would have picked up if I didn’t already have some spinach and beets at home.
That was two weeks ago and I’ve been back every Saturday since. It’s a small market at about a half a block of merchants, but worth it and I would expect the whole block to be filled with goodies as we get further into the summer when crops are more plentiful. Highly recommended if you live in the area.
Update: They’ve now moved to 20th and Madison.
