Blu-Ray is Clearly Winning (and I’m Glad)
It looks like Sony’s Blu-Ray technology is a good ways ahead of HD-DVD in replacing standard DVD as the new standard and I couldn’t be happier. I could care less which of these companies gets licensing fees for the next decade or so. If we’re going to go to a new, higher-capacity disk standard, then I want the biggest upgrade in capacity for the pain of going through a transition. A single layer Blu-Ray disc will hold 25 GB of data while a single layer HD-DVD disc holds 15 GB. (Double those numbers for dual layer discs) If we’re all going to buy new equipment, I’ll take the higher capacity solution for my trouble.

Yeah, but what’s this have to do with the monorail?
Smartass.
Aw, you commented before I had time to add another one.
Okay, here’s a legit comment. What’s up with the new Zelda game? Is it going to be good? It looks good. What’s up with the delay?
Not that it matters much that I ask. I just bought Shadows of the Empire for my nintendo 64. I noticed the copywrite on the game is from 1996 and the game plays like a shitty version of Duke Nukem. Why don’t you move to my neighborhood so that I can glom some free playtime on the good games offa you?
Of course, when the right internet play counsel comes out I’ll hafta get it just to get ass kicking satisfaction from whooping you at any game/any time.
The new Zelda certainly looks like it’s going to be good, but I haven’t a clue as to why they are delaying it. Gamecube owners should be rightfully pissed off about it. This blows a huge hole in Nintendo’s plan to keep cube owners happy with Zelda and away from Xbox 360.
The only thing I can think is happening here is that Nintendo is going to take this extra time to make it a Revolution game.
As for moving, you should get your ass out to Seattle and you know it.
I don’t know about Blu-Ray, but do you think that Superman Blue is better than Superman Red? I’ve long wondered this.
And another thing how the hell much is it going to cost me to switch over all of my DVD’s to Manta-Ray and how soon are they going to force me to change to Martha-Rae? Is it even worth buying the new Simpsons DVD in the special Homer-Head box?
I’d like to thank both Tim and Tom for reminding me why I moved the hell out of central Pennsylvania. Take a bow boys.
Shucks! ’tweren’t nothin’, ma’am.
