PC Magazine Needs Better Titles

PC Magazine put up a little teaser for their review of the Zen Micro, an iPod Mini competitor with the title “Zen Micro is Minnier Than Mini“. Later in the article they back up their title with the statement “It’s also 6mm shorter than the mini…” leading you to believe that the title of the article is correct, that the Zen Micro is smaller than the iPod Mini.
Except that it’s not. A quick check of the specs page for the Zen Micro and iPod Mini gives us the following:
| Player | Dimensions | Total Size |
|---|---|---|
| Creative Zen Micro | 2.0″ x 3.3″ x 0.7″ | 4.619 cubic inches |
| iPod Mini | 3.6″ x 2.0″ x 0.5″ | 3.6 cubic inches |
That’s about 28% bigger if I’m not mistaken and the Zen Micro is a bit heavier as well. Let’’s hope the final review is a little more articulate.
